CNY's coming.
I'm looking forward to it and i'm not looking forward to it. contradicting right.
Aiii, i'm looking forward to the break, to the times whereby i can just sit back at home, look at my mother walking in and out of the kitchen, scolding us once in a while when we did something wrong. But then again, CNY period no one is allowed to say bad stuffs or throw temper. Oh oh oh, and partner and i surely do look forward to the angbaos!!! money money money~ $$
What i'm not looking forward to will be, the endless irritating questions from relatives. So, to preempt awkwardness between relatives and me, i better prepare myself well enough to face the questions asked "annually". Yea, yea, yea i've memorized what to say already.

Actually, i only intend to tell them my brother didn't go because he went overseas with friends or something like that. It's gonna be a lie. but my mother insisted that we tell the truth. my brother say don't want, tell truth means the relatives will again look down on us. well, they always look down on us anyway. but what surprised me was that, my mama said:" Just tell the truth that ah boy lost his job so he don't want to go grandpa house. Yes, they look down on us, so what? This will motivate you two to work harder next time so that people won't look down on us. We don't lie coz we don't have to lie." wah... my mother reminds me of the little nyonna, yueniang's mother. the xiang yun ah. haha.
